Superheroines Project #2 - Miss Marvel

About the project: At the beginning of January I kind of started a new project where I wanted to draw a piece of fanart for each of my favorite comic book superheroines. Each heroine has a key feature and attitude I picked up on in their representations. This is what I hope to be doing by the end of the year.

Despite being a sort of foe of Rogue's, another favorite of mine, I really really liked Miss Marvel ever since she first appeared in the X-Men cartoon. 

Going to the ideological part of this project, Miss Marvel's key feature for me are her hips. Her body language and her costume always accentuate them, which gives her a powerful attitude. I particularly liked this costume for her, even though the Captain Marvel one seems to fit her better.

I liked getting to learn something new by having to color in the spandex suit, which I had never done before. Though, I have to say, only the boots actually ended up looking good.
